Italian Globalist arrested after helping illegal migrants – Salvini comments sarcastically on Twitter
Domenico Lucano, Mayor of Riace in Calabria, southern Italy, has been arrested as he's suspected of promoting illegal immigration and helping immigrants illegally stay in the country.
Lucano has won international recognition by other multiculturalists since he filled his small town, Riace in Calabria in southern Italy, with illegal immigrants or "thousands of refugees", as Reuters words it.
He's now accused of having organised marriages with "particular ruthlessness", between local Italians and immigrants in his municipality, so that the latter could stay in the country.
The 60-year-old, who's been Mayor of Riace since 2002 and in 2016 was named one of the world’s 50 greatest leaders by Fortune, is also accused of ignoring public procurement and providing local garbage contracts to organisations employing immigrants.
"To help immigrants and refugees is my calling," he has said earlier, according to RT, and he has also called immigrants a "product of an unfair world".
Of the thousands of illegal immigrants Lucano let into Italy, hundreds have also proceeded to other European countries such as Britain, Norway and Sweden, according to Reuters.
Other migrant lovers are now raging against the arrest, but Italy’s Interior Minister Matteo Salvini doesn't seem distressed in the least.
"Damn, I wonder what all the good people who want to fill Italy with immigrants will say now!", he writes sarcastically on Twitter.
