Poland’s ruling conservative party wins big in local elections

Conservative Law and Justice (PiS) party in Poland has big gains in the regional assemblies vote.  

In what the PAP news deemed a "late poll" they reported that PiS have won the most votes in the elections, they gained 33% of the votes Sunday’s elections.  

The official election returns will be announced in the coming days but exit polls reveal that Law and Justice won 32.3% of the vote, with the Civil Coalition, an alliance between the Civic Platform (PO) and Nowoczesna (Modern) parties, receiving 24.7% and the PSL, Polish People’s Party, receiving 16.6%.  

The Law and Justice (PiS) party's the ruling conservative party in Poland coming to power in late 2015’s parliamentary elections.
