The police recorded a total of 1265 crimes by 642 residents of the refugee shelter at the Hamburg Street in Dresden.
The refugee shelter has long been infamous for constant crimes and violence against security personnel made a new security protocol necessary in June.
The offences include 364 violations of residency permits, 299 thefts, 175 embezzlement of low value items as the police call it, 97 grand larcenies and 69 drug offences, 41 fare dodgings, 33 aggravated assaults, 20 assaults, 13 gang robberies with weapons, 12 predatory thefts, 4 robberies, 2 attacks on enforcement officers, 1 extortion and 1 person was arrested for manslaughter.
Furthermore one severe case of the breach of peace and disruption of the public peace through the threat of crimes took place. 7 sex crimes, as well as molestation and abuse of kids, was registered.
Wendt called the numbers terrifying and issued the following statement: "It becomes clear here that there's many criminals among the asylum seekers, who threaten our safety and have no place in our nation because of this."
He demanded that asylum procedures be ended immediately after crimes were committed and for the offenders to be deported.
