8-10 masked thugs have reportedly attacked a taxi with four passengers in front of a hotel in Magdeburg.
They were armed with baseball bats and allegedly asked a 62-year-old man if he was an Alternative for Germany (AfD) member. The 62-year-old man was threatened by the group after exiting the taxi.
That’s when he was asked if he was an AfD member and kicked by one of them. At this point the man took shelter inside the taxi. The car was then surrounded by the group and the rear window was destroyed.
The passengers also reported a loud bang like a gunshot from a gas pistol. Luckily nobody was injured and the attackers fled. Currently the AfD party convention's taking place in Magdeburg this incident supposedly took place at its outskirts.
The police spokesman didn't rule out a political motive on Saturday. The AfD's gathered to elect 40 candidates for the coming European Parliament election.
According to the police it's possible that AfD members did, in fact, find accommodations in the hotel. -Not the first time the radical left has attacked AfD members.
In 2017 Yannick Noe and his friend were attacked in his home by Antifa with a knife for that exact reason. His friend managed to arm himself before fighting them off and injuring 2 in the process.
Meanwhile German state sponsored media like the NDR flirt with Antifa and its ideas instead of condemning them.
